 Motivation for the weekend
Think about it...

There are 7 days in a week. SOMEDAY isn’t one of them!

Every accomplishment starts with a decision to try.

No matter how slow, you are still lapping everyone on the couch.

Run faster, eat better, try harder, aim higher, love more, day by day, get happier.

Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel.

The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you’ve come!

When life gives you 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile.

Be the person your dog thinks you are!

Be smart, make good choices, drink lots of water, get lots of rest, and enjoy your weekend! -- Coach Stamper

I have the best students!!
Hello Stamper Students!

I just wanted to thank you all for starting this year off so well! I'm so impressed and proud with everyone's positive attitude and work ethic.

I can't believe we have already finished the volleyball unit and are on to the next combatives/self-defense unit. You all have done such a great job paying attention during the lecture/notes portion this week. Thank you for your participation and patience as we get through the content.

This is going to be a wonderful year and I truly believe I have the best students on campus. I'm so proud and happy that you are all in my class this year. Keep up the great work!

Sincerely,
Coach Stamper smiley
PE POINT BREAKDOWN and GRADES
Questions regarding PE points and Grades?
DAILY PARTICIPATION = EACH DAY IN CLASS THE STUDENT WILL EARN 5 PARTICIPATION POINTS.
IF A STUDENT IS ABSENT HE/SHE DOES NOT GET THE POINTS BUT WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE THEM UP VIA A MAKEUP ASSIGNMENT.
IF A STUDENT HAS A PARENT OR DR NOTE THEY ARE ABLE TO MISS THE ACTIVITY OR RUN, BUT WILL STILL HAVE TO MAKEUP THE POINTS AT A LATER TIME WHEN THEY ARE FEELING BETTER.
Point reduction:
- 5 points for each absence
- 2 points for each tardy
- 5 points for ND (Non-dress)
- 5 points for NP (Non-participation)
- 5 to 10 points for bad sportsmanship (BS) (upon teacher's discretion)

RUNS = 10 points each (WE RUN ON WEDNESDAYS AND ON FRIDAYS)

Students are encouraged to complete the make-up/extra credit assignments before the end of the semester (December 17, 2014) *Once a month (towards end of month) we will also have make-up runs worth 10 points.

Daily Routines: Let's make sure the simple daily routines are done correctly and purposefully!

REMINDERS...
1) Students are to come to the locker room to get dressed in the appropriate uniform. Our district policy is that students wear a grey t-shirt and blue shorts. Their shirt must have THEIR last name on it.
2) Everyday students should be SITTING on their number before I meet them at their numbers. Students who are not sitting down on their assigned number when I get there will be marked tardy.
3) We will then begin the warm-up lap, and then our daily stretches.
4) Wednesday’s and Fridays will be our fitness days and will most likely include a strenuous run or aerobic activity. Students should be prepared and are encouraged to eat before coming out to PE.
5) Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays will be our activity days.
6) Students are able to bring WATER only out to the blacktop. They are encouraged to drink lots of water.
7) Students should be wearing appropriate shoes and socks. They must be laced. Students should also have a parent/Dr. note if they are not able to participate in activity for the day.
8) A make-up assignment is available so students have every opportunity to get a good grade.
9) We only give LOANER clothes out on Monday’s and Tuesdays. If a student does not have his/her PE clothes Wed-Friday, then they need to check in with me first and then will be sent to OCS.
10) We want you to be healthy! PLEASE EAT BREAKFAST AND DRINK WATER DAILY

Extra Credit/Make-up Assignments
I have had many questions on make-up work for absences, medical-notes, or even extra credit. I have attached a writing assignment in a folder named "MAKE-UP/EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS". Students can complete this in advance or after an absence so they will not lose participation or run points. They will chose a topic on the paper and write at least one page about it. They can complete up to 5 written assignments each semester. All other make-up points will have to be cardiovascular/physical activities since this is a PHYSICAL education class.

Lastly, Thanks to all students and parents for your support.
